Weber: I think diesel cars in the future in China is very market development prospects. Mercedes-Benz has a very mature of diesel engine technology and product, now powered by diesel technology products, including SUV and other very much. At present we are observing the market including the oil and other conditions are ripe for the introduction of diesel products.

Benz and the Chinese Government has always maintained a lot of contacts, including on whether there is sufficient supply of clean diesel, if oil issues implemented, our technology has been very mature, you can quickly import.

Reporter: this year will not be the electric version of the Smart into China?

Weber

: Smart electric Edition will not be introduced also we are discussing a problem ― if there is a complete construction? is there a standard charging facilities such as these are solved?, the next step you can take into account the introduction.

Reporter: there are no hydrogen fuel technology to market a timetable?

Kohler: B-class fuel cell car is now a small batch production, about 300 vehicles. First car has been delivered to Germany for a customer, for every day used, mileage (Gallery Forum) can reach 400 km, zero emissions, no competition on the market today.

This car is currently take the form of leasing. Having regard to the comparison of new technology, in addition to the security issues ― the car maintenance need professionals to do it, the car with the high-voltage battery are specially trained people. So now these maintenance, high-voltage battery maintenance work has to be done by our professional repair shop to do it.

Journalists: please you to estimate for the next five years to 10 years in the Mercedes-Benz products, regardless of the fuel cell or pure electric vehicles such products account for?

Kohler: the next five to 10 years, according to current trends, the introduction of new energy vehicles will account for approximately to the entire Benz family models of 5% to 10%. I think this should be a high proportion, because the market will be soon, also from now on, the next five to 10 years, consumer expectations for car is kind, customer for new car demand. If the market and customer demand increases in this area, you may have this type of car would sell a lot, so much of the production cost is lower; if the amount is small, the cost is certainly drop down, these are all we have to face some very real problem.

People on new energy cars of acceptance, such as electric power for 70kW feeling and to feel 70kW internal combustion engine is completely different, therefore the understanding and acceptance of electric vehicles, will affect the future development of new energy cars.

Reporter: there are no plans and mcg other brand cooperation for the development of new energy?

Weber: for cooperation, we have a very open mind. As long as there is a suitable partner, in some appropriate products and projects, we are very happy to cooperate with them. On the other hand, because the Benz itself in product research and development technical team strength is very strong, so we are currently in the research and development have made a lot of results. Whether electric car, hybrid car or a fuel cell car, our research and development team has a very strong strength.

In lower cost areas, we may be more consideration to different vendors or third parties, for example we've talked to BMW as well as other manufacturers consultations, in some parts, one part or integration components, etc; also by a third party to supply for our car battery. Maybe in the near future, we may cooperate with Chinese manufacturers.
