Switzerland is not timely from procure-to-chip Nissan forced shutdown
CRI news sources Wednesday revealed that Switzerland enterprises STMicrolectronics company (STMicroelectronics) is the Nissan Motor Company Japan domestic portion of the source of the factory shut down. A Hitachi officials on Monday said that the entire engine control system integrated circuit chip market supply is tight but the problems of chip manufacturers and did not state its reasons for delay.
According to the Japan media the Nikkei Shimbun (Nikkei newspaper) Wednesday, headquartered in Geneva STMicrolectronics company 2 July to Hitachi company said the company could only provide Hitachi required 12 million sets of custom chips of 80%, and according to plan, Hitachi will use this chip to production Nissan company required by the engine control system. On the other hand, the Nissan company chief operating officer of Shigella Chun (Toshiyuki Shiga) said earlier this week, spare part procurement issue is likely to affect the Nissan company in North America for production work and does not exclude the possibility of causing downtime.
